What a wonderful week!  The kids blasted through the multiplication this week and were so excited about their math sprints.  We started a new project on culture and they are learning how to find information on the internet and how vast and intimidating it can be if your search isn't focused and clear.  We have found idioms all around us and realized that there are minerals lurking in our water and food.  Talk with your child about their week and see what new things they share with you.

Next week we will continue our project on culture and will see what other minerals our earth has.  We will also end our unit in math and start module 4.  In reading and writing we will explain who we get along with and why, and write about why it is important to get along with our team mates.  Inferences seem to be the dominate skill these next two weeks and we will take another look at homophones.

Next week is also library spirit week.  Take a look at the calendar below to see what day is what.
