Thank you, thank you, thank you, for coming and supporting your child at school.  Conferences were fantastic and I believe we had some great conversations about the growth of our kids.  I am truly blessed to have this opportunity to work with such wonderful children.  

This week we will work on kn, gn, wr spelling words and will look into author's purpose and summarize what we read using transition words.  In writing we will wrap up our unit on narrative writing with a writing prompt and then respond to our new pen pals from Indiana!  

Our next unit in writing will be informational writing which fits wonderfully with our brochure about Meeker.  I am in contact with the Meeker Chamber and we are working together to make the brochure a fun little project that has the possibility of becoming a "real" brochure in their office.  

Math is still practicing our 2-10 numbers in multiplication and working on time, elapsed time, and measurements.  For science we will discuss matter and start looking at the water cycle and how that works.
